| Seriously? Crannial Plating is the ONLY banned card?????????
I'll say this one of the common's that you may consider looking into banning is Armadillo Cloak and if I am reading the rules right since in Oddessy the Husk was printed as Common it will be treated as so, this being legal as well?

| With the new rules husk isn't that broken.
As for cloak, it is a solid card, but I do not think its overpowered.
Look at cards like Faith's Fetters, Pillory of the Sleepless and other nasty enchantments.
It isn't that good, considering what you can slap it on.

| I just mention in because in three Commons leagues, the Cloak has been in at least two of the top three decks because it is pretty darn good. Personally I just find shutting down one creature not as helpful because their won't be quite as many win condition creatures during commons league and a significantly less kill spells (though not non-existent).
But I suppose we can see how it goes and see what people run before we really get worried.

| Even if you DID ban husk... there is Phyrexian Ghoul, and the newer version of husk which is a vampire, so obviously it isnt' that bad.
We will keep tabs on cloak, but I don't see much of a problem.

| The 'dillo cloak's pretty bomb, but as with any aura, it dies with the creature it's attached to, which means it usually won't be around for too long. If you take a look at any tiered decklist in ANY format, you rarely ever see auras in decklists because of this flaw. If they get run, great, because quite frankly green/white decks need the boost.
The reason why the artifact pieces are the only noteworthy ban/restricts is because affinity commons is nearly as retarded as regular affinity...which is a viable LEGACY archetype. Past that decklists can go wherever they like as commons league can get pretty powerful without spending too much.

Make... an all islands deck? :O PS. About the Armadillo cloak, I find that I don't really get it out that fast and KEEP the damn thing out there... Yeh, it does win if they don't nuke the creature with the cloak on it obviously, but same thing happens when i Rancor up so to speak :/ That's one of those things you should sideboard against imo (creature removal or something to prevent them from attacking). If you ask me, dark ritual is more broken than the dillo cloak.

| Updated the registration list, added the up-to-date scores as of Nov. 3.
As it currently stands, the only players unable to issue challenges to certain players are myself and David K. I cannot challenge 0 or 1 point players, and Dave cannot challenge 0 point players. Everyone else, feel free to issue challenges freely for now! Bob will be handling commons league this wednesday again as I have work.

Source: http://www.wizards.com/Magic/Magazine/Article.aspx?x=mtgcom/feature/58 thats for peasant rather than our commons league, however, if its permitted (which i REALLY hope it is), i will build a semi unhinged/regular card commons deck.. even if it has no synergy whatsoever... (aiden can put little girls in with slivers) edit: sorry josh, but i may end up using this against you if its legal: Farewell to Arms

| Sorry guys, but silver and gold bordered cards are not legal in ANY tournament play. (Unglued drafting excepted) Unglued and Unhinged are not officially sanctioned expansions for tournament play, as they do not have clearly defined rulesets. | |

| Any "official" tournament will check for the legality at gatherer. If it's not legal there (which strip mine is considered NOT legal, as it's listed as an Uncommon at best) then it wont be legal in commons.
Not common... http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=2380 Not common... http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=1074 Not common... http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=1824
As Steven F said, silver or black bordered cards are not legal in tournament play.

| Alright, let me clarify:
The list Steve linked to provides a list of every card that was unintentionally printed at common level. As per official Peasant rules, this makes them legal. We caught strip mine and restricted it early on but missed a lot of these other "power-card commons". For now, I'm just going to disallow the silver and gold bordered cards because, like I said, it is difficult to define a clear ruleset to follow with unhinged and unglued cards. As for the rest, have fun with them, but we'll keep an eye out for trouble. Remember that there's only about a month left of commons league anyway, so I wouldn't worry too much.
Edit: Also, the page that was linked to is for Peasant Magic, which has no ban list and allows 5 uncommons. We're running commons league which allows no uncommons unless they had a common printing and we use our ban list.
